This integration functions as a one-way sync from Loyale to Klaviyo. It manages the lifecycle of a customer profile based on their activity and consent status within Loyale.
Profile Creation & The "Marketing Gatekeeper"
Not every customer in your Loyale database will be pushed to Klaviyo. The integration uses a strict filter to ensure you are only emailing customers who have consented to communication.
- The Condition: The integration constantly checks the "Marketing Opt-in" status of your Loyale customers.
- The Action: A profile is created in Klaviyo only if the customer has explicitly opted in to receive marketing material within Loyale.
- The Exclusion: Customers who register on Loyale but decline marketing permission are not synced to Klaviyo. They remain solely in the Loyale database.
Continuous Data Updates
Once a profile is established in Klaviyo, Loyale acts as the primary source of truth for customer details.
- Trigger: Whenever customer details are modified inside Loyale (e.g., a customer corrects a typo in their name or updates their phone number).
- Effect: These changes are automatically pushed to the corresponding Klaviyo profile.
- Benefit: This ensures your marketing emails always use the most current personal details without manual data entry in Klaviyo.
Consent & Subscription Management
The integration automates compliance with email marketing laws (like GDPR) by managing the Suppression status in Klaviyo based on actions taken in Loyale.
Note: "Suppressed" in Klaviyo means the profile exists and retains its history/data, but the system creates a hard block preventing any marketing emails from being sent to them.
Scenario A: The Customer Opts Out
If an existing customer logs into Loyale and revokes their marketing permission:
- Loyale detects the status change.
- The integration locates the profile in Klaviyo.
- The profile is marked as Suppressed.
- Result: The customer is immediately removed from active mailing lists, even if they remain in your segments.
Scenario B: The Customer Re-Engages (Opts Back In)
If a previously opted-out customer decides to enable marketing permissions again in Loyale:
- Loyale signals the integration.
- The integration locates the Suppressed profile in Klaviyo.
- The profile is Unsuppressed.
- Result: The customer is immediately eligible to receive marketing campaigns again.
