Configuration in Loyale Backoffice

  1. Log in to the Loyale Backoffice.
  2. Navigate to the Integrations section.
  3. Locate Lightspeed K-Series from the list of available integrations.


Integrating Loyale with Lightspeed K-Series

To enable Loyale on your Point of Sale, you must first register the web extension in your Lightspeed Back Office and then manually add the button to your active menu.

Phase 1: Create the Web Extension

Before the button can appear on your iPad or POS terminal, Lightspeed needs to be "introduced" to Loyale via a secure link.

  1. Access the Back Office: Log in to the Lightspeed K-Series Web UI.
  2. Navigate to Extensions: Go to Configuration > Settings > Web extensions.
  3. Initiate Setup: Click the Add a new web extension button.
  4. Enter Integration Details: Fill in the form using the specific details (URL and Authentication) found on your Loyale Integration Settingspage.
    • Note: Ensure you copy these exactly as shown to avoid connection errors.
  5. Save: Click save to finalize the extension registration.

Phase 2: Adding the Button to Your Sales Screen

Once the extension is created, you must place it onto your menu layout so your staff can access it during a transaction.

  1. Open Menu Management: Navigate to Menu management > Menus.
  2. Select Your Active Menu: Click on the menu currently used by your staff in-store.
  3. Add the Web Extension Button:
    • Navigate to the Other sub-tab.
    • Click Add button.
    • From the list of types, select Web extension.
    • Choose the Loyale button you created in Phase 1.
  4. Confirm and Sync: Save your changes. On your Lightspeed POS device, ensure you Reload the Configuration to see the new Loyale button appear on the sales screen.

Pro Tip: We recommend placing the Loyale button in a high-visibility area of your "Other" menu so staff can quickly scan loyalty cards or look up customers without slowing down the queue.


Configuring Loyale as a Payment Method

After setting up the web extension, you must define Loyale as a recognized payment type in Lightspeed. This allows your POS to accurately record transactions paid for with loyalty rewards.

  1. Access Payment Settings: Log in to your Lightspeed K-Series Web UI and navigate to Configuration > Settings > Payment methods.

  2. Add New Method: Click the button labeled Add a payment method.

  3. Configure the Details: Fill out the form using the specific credentials found on your Loyale Integration Settings page.

    • Payment Type: Ensure you select the specific type (usually "Gift Card" or "Other") as instructed in your Loyale dashboard.

    • Name: It is highly recommended to name this "Loyale" or "Loyale Points" so it is easily identifiable by staff during checkout.

  4. Security & Integration Keys: * Locate the External Reference or Integration Key fields.

    • Copy the corresponding values from your Loyale dashboard and paste them here.

    • Note: Double-check that there are no trailing spaces in the pasted values.

  5. Save and Sync: Click Save at the bottom of the page. To see this change on your POS terminals, remember to Reload the Configuration on each device.

Important: Treating this setup with the same security as a bank terminal integration ensures that all loyalty redemptions are tracked and reconciled correctly in your end-of-day reports.
