Finalizing Your Loyale & Lightspeed X-Series Integration

To ensure your team can process loyalty redemptions at the register, you need to add Loyale as a specialized payment type. This ensures your sales reports accurately reflect when points are used.

Phase 1: Access the Payment Setup

You will need to create a new "Other" payment type to accommodate the Loyale button.

  1. Log in to the Web UI: Open the Lightspeed X-Series Login Screen.

  2. Navigate to Settings: In the sidebar, go to Setup > Payment Types.

  3. Add Payment Method: Click the Add Payment Type button at the top right.

  4. Select Payment Type: From the dropdown menu, select Other payment method.


Phase 2: Configure the Loyale Button

Now, you will name the button and link it to the Loyale system using the details from your integration page.

  1. Name the Button: In the "Payment Type Name" field, enter "Loyale" or "Loyalty Points". This is exactly what will appear on the sale screen.

  2. Enter Gateway Details: Look for the Gateway URL or Instruction field.

  3. Assign to Outlets: For multi-store accounts, ensure you select all the Outlets where you want the Loyale button to be available.

  4. Save: Click Save Payment Type.


Phase 3: Activation on the Register

Once saved, the button needs to be "pulled" down to your physical iPad or computer registers.

  1. Sync the Register: Open your Sales screen on your POS device.

  2. Refresh Configuration: If the button doesn't appear, go to the menu and tap Settings > Hardware > Reload/Sync Data.

  3. Verify: Start a test sale and click Pay. You should now see a Loyale button alongside your Cash and Credit options.

Staff Tip: When a customer wants to pay with points, the staff member simply clicks the "Loyale" button. The Loyale interface will then pop up to verify the customer's point balance and apply the discount.
